ABOUT MIRTH HEALTH SYSTEMS
Dr. Oluwabukola Adasofunjo established Mirth Health Systems; she is board certified in pediatrics, adult, and child & adolescent psychiatry. Mirth Health Systems delivers individualized care for children, adolescents, and young adults with various mental health and behavior challenges. With our background in primary care, we understand the associations between physical and psychological health; hence, we will work closely with your pediatrician and family practitioner to ensure that you are in good physical and mental health. Our assessment and management examine the biological, physiological, and social influences affecting mental health and health behaviors. We understand that culture impacts mental health significantly in diverse ways, such as perception of health and illness, treatment-seeking behavior, and coping styles. With this in mind, we provide culturally sensitive care in our practice. We advocate for our patient's best interests at school, workplace, and in the community.
VISION
We know children do well if they can; if they can't, we need to understand why so we can help- Ross Greene. We are culturally competent, so we respect cultural diversity. We respect each child's uniqueness concerning their ethnic, cultural, and religious background, which helps to build a better therapeutic relationship. Our work is child-centered, family-focused, and culturally competent.
MISSION
As a pediatrician and psychiatrist, my goal is to promote overall well-being, which begins with a mindful, caring, and supportive relationship with my patients and families. I know that mental health illness may directly or indirectly impact physical health; managing psychological and physical health problems is our priority in mirth health. We will work closely with your primary care doctor to achieve this.
